Privacy Policy
Effective July 7, 2026
1. What we collect
Account basics: your email address and password (stored by our authentication provider — we never see your password itself).
What you add to your profile: name, roles, instruments, genres, location, bio, photos, social links, tracks, credits, accolades, and anything else you choose to share.
What you do on Giggin: posts, listings, events, RSVPs, cosigns, connections, messages, and basic activity data like when your account was last active.
Billing:payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card number — we keep only your membership status and Stripe's reference for your subscription.
Cookies:we use cookies to keep you signed in. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
To run Giggin: showing your profile to the community, delivering messages, processing your membership, sending the emails the service needs (confirmation, password reset, support replies), keeping the platform safe through moderation, and understanding usage so we can improve the product. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your data to serve third-party ads.
3. Who can see what
Your profile exists to be seen — members can view it, and if you have an Insider membership your full profile is publicly visible (free accounts show a limited public teaser). Location shows as the city you chose, never a precise position. Direct messages are private between you and the person you're talking to, subject to moderation when a conversation is reported.
4. Who we share it with
Service providers that run the platform on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Cloudflare (audio storage and delivery). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Beyond that, we share data only if the law requires it or to protect the safety of the community.
5. Your choices
You can edit your profile at any time, and you can delete your account from your profile settings — deletion removes your profile and content from the service, with brief persistence in backups. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us through the Support page, and we'll respond as applicable law requires.
6. Children
Giggin is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us through the Support pageand we'll remove it.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll give notice on the site or by email before the change takes effect. Questions about anything here? Reach us through the Support page.
